Caribmap.org is a free, non-profit web resource where you can explore the cartographic history of the Caribbean islands with zoomable, high-resolution map images. Some recent enhancements include: ~800 map images and growing and a smoother and more fluid zooming. It is also now mobile friendly and will automatically format for whatever portable device (iPhone, Android, etc.) you are using, without the need for an app; just select a map from thumbnails and then tap to zoom in or out; images load and zoom quickly with normal bandwidth. A video series has been launched, with short videos of each island, combining Google Earth, historical maps, and biology. The initial video is on Jamaica (choose "3D Tour" thumbnail). Free color posters, offset printed, can be ordered on the site (see Resources page), and will be available this weekend at the Miami Map Fair.
